Southern Charm‘s Leva Bonaparte assured fans Joe Bradley and Maddi Reese‘s Vegas wedding was “real.”
This is not a drill:
In an interview with US Weekly, Leva validated the authenticity of one of the storylines teased in the Southern Hospitality season 3 preview.
“If I didn’t know any better, had they not told me, I would’ve thought it was a hoax.” Leva revealed that she knew about the wedding. Both Joe and Maddi “came home and they [told me] separately.”
Leva recollected, “I was like, ‘Did you tell your mother?’ I was like, ‘I don’t want to know. I don’t want this hot potato. I know your moms. Did you tell your mom?’ And, of course, Maddi was like, ‘Not yet.’ Joe was like, ‘I told her immediately.’”
The Republic owner also claimed that the nuptials weren’t for a pre-planned storyline. “Nothing’s contrived or fake on that show. It was definitely a real ceremony,” Leva revealed.
Leva noted that Joe has “always loved” Maddi and “been safe for her.” The restauranteur thinks Joe and Maddi have a chance to make it.
*Did anyone else notice that Leva said there was “nothing contrived or fake on THAT show, Southern Hospitality.” Did she insinuate Southern Charm is contrived and/or fake?!*
A loophole?
An Elvis impersonator declared Maddi and Joe “partners for life” in front of their stunned cast mates … not husband and wife.
Despite Leva declaring the Vegas ceremony was not a “hoax,” I couldn’t help but wonder … is this going to flop as hard as the RHONY reboot pregnancy prank?
Season 3 of Southern Hospitality premieres Thursday, January 2nd.
