Spencer Pratt Shares Stunning Photo of His Home After Fire

Spencer Pratt posted a positive message on Instagram hours after he lost his home to the California wildfires that raged through Los Angeles County.

On January 8, 2025, the former “The Hills” star posted to Instagram to share an image of his son’s bedroom with a heart shape burned into his bed. The image appeared to be from a baby-cam or security camera and was labeled “Nursery.”

“The one positive sign I saw as our house burned down was our sons bed burned in the shape of a heart,” Pratt captioned the photo. “A sign of how much love was in this house so thankful for all the years and memories there with our family.”

Pratt and his wife Heidi Montag have been married since 2009 and share sons Gunner, 7, and Ryker, 2.

The family has resided in Pacific Palisades, California, for years.

Pratt had often posted TikToks and other social media videos from his Pacific Palisades home. The house was also featured on the MTV reality show “The Hills: New Beginnings” in 2019 and 2021. The reality star often stood on the deck to feed the many hummingbirds that gathered in the area.

Pratt received support from fans and friends after posting the gut-wrenching photo of his young son’s bed.

“So sorry brother,” wrote “Vanderpump Rules” alum Tom Schwartz.

“My brother!!!! Ughhhh awful,” wrote “Dancing With the Stars” pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy.

“So incredibly sorry, spencer. we’re all here for you guys ♥️🫂 if any family could turn this awful experience around it’s the Pratt family,” added  Justin Anderson, the best friend of Pratt’s former “The Hills” co-star Kristin Cavallari,

Spencer Pratt Watched His House Burn Down

The Palisades Fire resulted in the evacuation of more than 30,000 residents in the Pacific Palisades, according to CBS News.

TMZ reported that Pratt and Montag watched their home burn down before fleeing the area. Pratt, 41, also shared footage to TikTok to document the fire raging on the property.

“Oh wow, it’s back there!” the former MTV star said as he shared a look at the fire blazing over the top of a fence. “For real … let’s go!” Pratt added as the fire began to move closer to where he was standing.

“Nightmare came true,” Pratt captioned the video.

On his Instagram story, Pratt later shared a photo of rubble with the caption, “My parents house gone.”
