As the nights get longer and the days grow colder there are some people who are of a mind to reassess their love life and try something new.
We are currently in the middle of something the experts refer to as 'cuffing season', where people who would otherwise be enjoying the benefits of being single are wanting to find somebody to cuddle up with during the colder months.
It really hits an apex next month in December as people want to have someone special to spend Christmas with, or at least someone who will suffice as a reasonably sexy hot water bottle to snuggle up to on the sofa while you watch The Muppet Christmas Carol.
At least then you'd have somebody to spend Christmas and the New Year celebrations with, as well as deflecting the awkward questions from your parents over why you're not dating anybody.
However, also rising in popularity is a certain bedroom trend which is gaining traction on the internet just in time for the festive season known as 'sploshing'.

What is sploshing?
If you're not familiar with it, sploshing involves getting aroused by covering oneself with food and drink.
Your body is basically the plate and the food is there to be smeared on for your enjoyment as you savour the smell and texture of the produce through skin contact.
It's certainly not the cleanest of things you can do in the bedroom and it sounds like you'd need to do a lot of preparation for a session, but for those who are into this sort of thing it's presumably all worth it.
People have all sorts of things that float their boat so getting some enjoyment from smearing food all over themselves is really not that outlandish in the grand scheme of things.
So long as it's not hurting anybody and they remember to clean the place up afterwards it ought to be alright.

Ayesha Hussain, co-creator of Pass The Porn and founder of The Violet, explained: "There are aspects of the mouth being a vessel that are inherently sexual.
"It opens, it’s moist, and when you get aroused, your mouth opens more and gets more lubricated.
"It can be anything: spaghetti, cucumbers, chocolate, etc. Watch every movement, taste every smell, imagine their saliva accumulating, and go from there!”
Kink educator Darla Delour told Glamour: "It’s not about using vegetables as dildos, nor is it adding a splash of whipped cream to your body to spice things up in the bedroom."
