Strictly Come Dancing fans are baffled by the leaked elimination results due to be announced tonight – and say the couple saved in the dance-off should never have been there.
The result of the dance-off will not be announced until Sunday (October 20) night. Despite the BBC’s attempt to keep the couple under wraps, a spoiler has been leaked online every Saturday since 2012.
"Blimey. Did not see one of those coming at all," declared one Strictly fan as they shared their thoughts on the leak. "Wow! No way did the person who was saved deserve to be there, but I thought they might be which was why I voted for them," added another. "Again the curse of going first and being middle of the leaderboard. Remember to save your favourites - they’re not always safe!"
There was no theme for this week's show, which saw the 12 remaining celebs deliver some top-notch routines in the hope of securing their spot in the next round, so fans saw a range of performances to music by Oasis, Sam Smith and Gerry and the Pacemakers.
As for the eliminated contestant, who the Daily Star has chosen not to name, more fans fumed on X. "Ohhh shame, he wasn’t that bad and he was having fun," said one while another added: "Didn’t really matter who was in the bottom two against [redacted] as he’d be leaving anyway, almost a given but wow [redacted] was a shock. I think we’re in for a load more shock results now as the weeks go by."
It comes as Katya and Wynne returned to the dancefloor for the first time since their rather... awkward encounter last week. While both have since come out to say the move was a joke that went wrong [although, we're not sure how it could have been] fans are still convinced that the pair "hate each other".
Wynne was seen edging his hand closer to Katya's waist, and as she tried to push him away, he did it again. A video of the moment went viral on social media, with fans expressing their concern for Katya. They've since been forced to apologise in an even stranger clip posted online, with Katya saying: "I have to make this absolutely clear, that this whole incident with the hand and the high five on Saturday night, it was an inside joke between Wynne and I. Was it a silly joke, yes, was it a bad joke, yes."
Wynne added later on that he was heartbroken by the online hate. He said: "I'm absolutely heartbroken by the things that have been written about me in the last day. It's not nice to live in that time, but basically Katya and I are really, really close and we're really good friends, and on Saturday night we made a stupid joke. It was a stupid joke that went wrong, OK? We thought it was funny. It wasn't funny. It has been totally misinterpreted."
Despite their 'apology', a fuming Strictly lover wrote on X: "Make the VT like you don’t hate each other #strictly," as another chimed in: "this vt is far too much, VERY unnatural #strictly."
