Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood has opened up about the reasons behind delaying his wedding once more. The 59 year old judge and his fiancé Jonathan Myring, who is 22 years younger, originally planned to say 'I do' shortly after their engagement in 2020.
However, the Covid-19 pandemic threw a spanner in the works, shredding their initial plans. With venues booked up due to a high amount of postponed events, the couple found themselves unable to secure a marquee for two years.
Now, they've decided to push the celebration back to 2027, with Craig pointing to the soaring costs as the main concern for the couple.
Chatting with Closer magazine, Craig explained: "We were trying to do it within a year, but that was impossible, because Covid had just finished. People who had postponed their weddings were taking up all the marquees so we couldn't get one anyway for two years, it was preposterous."

The pair met on Tinder in 2018 and had their first date squeezed into a busy schedule, with Craig having to rush off for a matinee show of the Strictly Live Tour.
Craig Revel Horwood reminisced on Kate Thornton's White Wine Question Time podcast in 2020 about the moment he met his partner, saying: "I knew from the very outset when the double doors to the Mercure Hotel opened and he walked in. I went, 'Oh yeah, he's got a very smiley, happy face. I like that. I'm definitely going on this date!'
"There wasn't any awkward silences and it's been absolute bliss ever since!" He also revealed that on the day they met, he was close to deleting his dating apps and "giving up" on love.
Craig, who will be back judging on Strictly Come Dancing for its Blackpool special at 6.45pm, is heading down the aisle with Jonathan for what will be his second marriage, after previously being married to Jane Halwood from 1990 to 1992.
The star, who once identified as bisexual, has considered himself "solidly gay" following his first wife's infidelity.
