Tess Daly has opened up about one of her biggest parenting worries.
While the TV star usually keeps her private life out of the spotlight, she recently shared the struggles of raising teenagers.
Tess, who shares daughters Phoebe, 20, and Amber, 15, with husband Vernon Kay, explained how she tries to keep tabs on who her kids interact with online—without crossing the line.
Speaking to The Express: “I'm constantly trying to find the right balance whereby I am aware of their online lives and who they are communicating with and the accounts they're interacting with, but I don't want to see the messages because that's infringing their privacy and it's their own private space.”
“So trying to straddle that kind of fine balance has actually been made easier for me now. By these initiatives because you know it's really reassuring for me as a parent to know that they can't communicate with people that they don't know.

Tess revealed just how much she worries about her daughters' online safety. Sharing her fear, she added: “That's the number one fear for me, you know. And so, I love that it's automatically private."
The Strictly host explained that both Phoebe and Amber were only allowed to use social media once they’d reached a certain age and were required to keep their accounts private.
She admitted: “I mean, my kids, you know, my 15 year old obviously is private and, didn't have the accounts until she was 13.
“Phoebe's been private until she was just like, well, I think 19 actually. So we've tried to control it that way, but you do want to know who they are interacting with. That's really important.

“And again, trying to get that out of them without compromising their privacy, you're just trying to get that information from them delicately and you know toughly when.
Reflecting on the values she’s instilled in her daughters, Tess added: "I mean they know this because they've been brought up in this world.
"They are kind, good, respectful, humble girls. We say you would never talk to anyone online unless you wouldn't talk to a human being in the flesh and just treat them with compassion and respect."
