Nick Knowles continues rehabilitation after major operations
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Nick Knowles has been seen for the first time using crutches following a recent operation.
In a video he shared on X on Friday, (December 27) the DIY SOS presenter is seen with crutches walking up a staircase with assistance from someone who appeared to be a medical worker.
He captioned the video: "Well, in my letter to Santa I did not have two major operations. Three knee & one elbow braces & learning to walk upstairs again - but that’s what he brought me.
"One of the most expensive Xmas holidays ever - but determined to walk normally ready for DIY SOS in February."
He added in a follow up post: "I would like to thank the two surgeons who firstly did by bicep reattachment Mr Ahrens and then my knee Surgeon Mr Jig Patel - would recommend them to anyone. Tremendous job.

"Months of rehab ahead but looking forward to being fully 100% again by August." Fans took to the comment section with messages of support and wishing him a speedy recovery.
"Walking upstairs after a leg injury is so painful, I wish you a speedy recovery," wrote one, while another said: "I had to do the ‘crutches course’ nearly 11 years ago, be careful when you get home Nick your stair treads may not be as deep as those, chin up, lead with your good leg use the banister and keep one set of aids upstairs, and keep going."
Nick's ordeal began during his stint on the recent series of Strictly. In September, he injured his arm and shoulder while changing a tyre, which led to him wearing a sling during performances.
Subsequently, during rehearsals, he sustained a knee injury that required surgery.
The injuries forced Nick to withdraw from the competition, and he was notably absent from the Strictly final as he went through recovery.

Nick, who says he remains optimistic and is focused on his rehabilitation, is keen to resume filming DIY SOS in February and is also looking forward to his wedding with fiancée Katie Dadzie next summer.
Back in October, he revealed that he required two operations after Strictly, having been the third contestant to leave the BBC competition.
Since then he has had to undergo an operation in hospital to "re-attach" his bicep, following the injury from changing the tyre on his car.
After his early exit from the show, Nick paid tribute to his professional dance partner Luba Mushtuk, who supported him throughout his challenging time on the dance show.
In his social media post, he gushed: "Your creativity and hard work is awesome and I couldn’t have gone on this adventure with a better partner. I’m sorry I couldn’t take you further into the competition because people should get to see the lovely dances you prepared in advance."
Although Nick’s time on Strictly was cut short, the presenter has discovered a newfound passion for dancing.
He shared: "I really fell in love with dancing. Luba worked so hard on all the routines, and I felt like I let her down. I desperately wanted to do more."
