Strictly's Ranvir Singh reveals she's been single mum for 12 years in shock split confession

Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh made the shock announcement that she's been a single mum since she was seven months pregnant

Strictly Come Dancing star and presenter Ranvir Singh revealed she's been a single mother for 12 years.

The Good Morning Britain presenter said she's been a single mum since she was seven months pregnant. Not much was known about her private life, with many assuming she was only single since she revealed so before starring on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020 with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice.

Ranvir has a son called Tushaan from her relationship with ex-husband Ranjeet Singh Dehal. Speaking about being a single mother, Ranvir said on the White Wine Question Time with Kate Thornton podcast: "I have actually been a single mum since I was 7 months pregnant. I’ve kept that so quiet but I am okay to talk about it now.

"Now I’m at a point in my life where I think that I’m learning to embrace my whole life and to not compartmentalise it as much, to keep everything separate. And that’s a me thing. I’m happy to correct it today. Obviously my friends and family have known. It shows you can keep private whatever you choose to!"

She continued: “I feel like I am beginning to mesh my life together and part of that is being able to say ‘yes, I was single since I was seven months pregnant. I need to own it. I need to say, it’s not shameful, it’s not something to hide, this is me." The TV presenter went on to discuss making her career and being a single mother work.

The star joked she is 'on a unicycle blindfolded juggling fire'. Ranvir also praised her 12-year-old son, saying he is growing into the 'kind of young man that I was afraid I couldn’t achieve on my own.' "But when I see him being polite with other people’s parents when he goes to their house and I go ‘how was he?’ and they go ‘perfect, lovely boy, loved having him over’, my heart just goes boom," she explained.

"I feel a massive sense of achievement he is a good boy when he goes to other people’s houses, he knows how to behave.” Ranvir previously left fans surprised when she casually dropped live on GMB that she was single. She told co-host Ben Shephard on air: "Well, I'm single," and Ranvir confirmed she was no longer with her Ranjeet. Ranvir later hinted that she had found something on her husband's phone which had began the road to their separation and divorce.
