Vernon Kay opened up on how he first met his wife, Tess Daly, leaving his Radio 2 colleague Scott Mills utterly stunned. The revelation came as Scott was wrapping up his afternoon radio show with Britney Spears' hit song Stronger, which sparked a trip down memory lane for Vernon, reports OK!.
The 50 year old TV presenter then shared an unexpected tale about his initial encounter with Strictly Come Dancing host Tess, involving a reenactment of a Britney Spears music video. Vernon's bombshell that he had played the role of Britney left Scott in disbelief. At the time, both Tess and Vernon were presenters on the BBC music show Top of the Pops@play, and they were sent to film a segment which included them recreating Britney's iconic 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' video. "She was dressed as Geri Halliwell in the Spice Girls Union Jack dress; I was dressed as Britney Spears in the Hit Me Baby One More Time video. School uniform. It was in a charity shop on Shepherd's Bush Green," Vernon reminisced.

I think you set it up as, 'Why don't you and our new presenter, Tess Daly, go and do this? '" Vernon said, pointing out that Scott had a role to play in what became a fairy-tale romance.
Vernon expressed gratitude for the indirect cupid while conversing on air with Scott, who was taken aback by the revelation: "I can't get my head round that," he gasped
Meanwhile, Tess has been vocal about the couple's whirlwind beginnings, sharing with Digital Spy, "It was all quite immediate, really, because we instantly had such a blast together. I couldn't imagine having more fun with anyone else. It was pretty explosive, I tell you."

The house saw Phoebe take flight to drama school last year, leaving Tess, Vernon, their cherished Shetland ponies Honey and Willow, and the family's adored dogs, who feature in Tess's social media posts, enjoying the idyllic estate.
