Wynne Evans might have to face the 'consequences' of landing in Strictly Come Dancing's latest dance-off.
The opera singer found himself in the dreaded bottom two for the first time with professional dance partner Katya Jones over the weekend.
Wynne and Katya made it through to week eight of the BBC One dance contest and on Saturday night (November 9), they took to the dance floor where Wynne was praised for improving his footwork following his performance of an American smooth to Grace Kelly by Mika.
They were awarded 32 points and surprised with a video from singer Mika, who wished the couple well.
However, Wynne and Katya then had to fight for their place in week nine of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series, which also happens to be the annual Blackpool special.
They faced the dance-off against Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu with both couples having to reprise their performances from the live show, including Shayne and Nancy with their rumba to Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper.
After both couples had danced a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts: Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Shayne and Nancy, as did Motsi, while Anton Du Beke chose to save Wynne and Katya. With two votes in favour of Shayne and Nancy, the decision came down to head judge Shirley, who decided to save Wynne and Katya.
Body language expert Darren Stanton, speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, has observed that the recently eliminated Strictly couple 'will miss being in each other's company'. He noted that before the results were announced, it was a highly charged moment for both pairs, reports the Manchester Evening News.
"Prior to the result, it was a very tense moment for both couples. Shayne and Nancy were standing close together and used tactile behaviour to comfort and reassure each other as they were waiting to hear. Although they were told they would be leaving the show, they both demonstrated how close they had become over the weeks of working together and building their relationship."
Stanton also commented on Wynne's attempt to hide his emotions, suggesting that he was 'suppressing his feelings' and appeared 'distanced' while awaiting the outcome. He added that Wynne's reluctance to show 'vulnerability' could have repercussions for him and Katya in the competition.

"When they were told they were leaving, Shayne was gutted. He immediately wrapped his arms around Nancy, resulting in a deep hug. This shows us they will miss being in each other's company."
He further commented: "As we see Wynne and Katya waiting for the result, Wynne has his hands behind his back. It comes across as the couple feeling distanced and emotionally separated. Wynne is suppressing his feelings, he doesn't want to show any ounce of vulnerability.
"While he has been saved, this could be one of his downfalls and lead to future consequences. For couples to go a long way in the competition, they need to accept their flaws and mistakes to build on their strengths."
