Strictly's Wynne Evans sparks concern as he's accused of 'faking smile' on BBC show

4 weeks ago 16

Strictly Come Dancing's Wynne Evans has sparked concern among viewers, with some suggesting that the star is "not enjoying" his time on the show. The BBC's popular dance competition returned to our screens on Saturday (October 26) for another thrilling episode.

As the remaining celebrities prepared to compete for their place in the contest, Go Compare star Wynne Evans caught the audience's attention with his Salsa routine alongside his professional dance partner. Following the performance, an exhausted Wynne crawled towards Tess Daly to receive feedback from the judges.

Craig Revel Horwood awarded him seven points, while the other judges each gave him a score of eight, likely securing his place in the top half of the leaderboard. However, viewers at home expressed concerns about Wynne's demeanour.

One viewer commented on X: "Wynne really doesn't seem to be enjoying the show as much as he did #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing."

Another added: "I thought Wyn looked a bit like he was being dragged around a bit #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly."

A third questioned: "Anyone else think Wynne is faking a smile or is it just me?".

This week, the couples are pulling out all the stops with their routines and costumes for Halloween week, featuring performances inspired by The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Beetlejuice, reports the Mirror.

The judges also went all out for the spooky season, with Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke appearing as the twins from The Shining, Motsi Mabuse as Cruella de Vil, and Shirley Ballas as Winifred Sanderson.

However, controversy reportedly brewed behind the scenes following an inappropriate comment made by Wynne. Insiders claim that while preparing for the show, he joked that his double chin resembled a woman's private parts.

The comment was allegedly made before the BBC contest's kickoff programme, with an insider stating: "It was a bit of a vulgar dad joke."

While the joke didn't lead to any formal complaints, it apparently didn't sit well with some crew members. The insider added: "Wynne clearly didn't mean any offence, but you have to be a little bit careful these days."
