Former Strictly Come Dancing star Kristina Rihanoff has poignantly reminisced about her late colleague Robin Windsor.

Kristina, who previously partnered with Robin on tours across the UK, took to social media to share a touching photograph of the pair from last December, shortly before Robin's untimely death at 44.

The photo shows a beaming Robin dressed in a sleek black tuxedo next to Kristina, who left Strictly following its 13th series.

She tenderly captioned the heartfelt tribute: "Last December... Last time [broken heart emoji]."

The emotional homage follows a recent television tribute to Robin, who passed away on February 19.

In a special episode celebrating Strictly's 20th anniversary broadcast last week, the BBC dedicated a moment to honour past stars, including hosts, contestants, and dancers. Robin's untimely death came earlier this year after his body was found in a London hotel.

He was fondly remembered by his dance community peers, who shared touching anecdotes and reflected on his lasting legacy.

Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, Robin's dance partner in the 2012 series, led the tributes, saying: "Whoever's idea it was to put me and Robin Windsor together needs the biggest trophy, bigger than the Glitterball," as she warmly remembered their partnership, reports the Mirror.

Janette Manrara shared her own heartfelt tribute, remembering Robin, saying, "He honestly was Mr. Strictly. He was as camp as Christmas. More tanned than anyone I've ever seen before in my life. Didn't mind wearing sequins on any part of his body."

Deborah Meaden, who had the pleasure of partnering with Robin on the show, recalled: "I did Strictly because I wanted to enjoy myself, and Robin understood that. And he was just the best partner."

An emotional Lisa, shared cherished memories of her and Robin's friendship: "The best part of me and Robin was just at my house, two cups of tea, gossiping like two besties on the couch together, you know?"

Professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec paid tribute to Robin's kindness and remarkable spirit: "What a beautiful, beautiful friend, dancer, and just a kind man."

Emotions ran high, Karen Hauer struggled to find words, managing to say: "He always took care of us..." before her voice trailed off. Lisa, holding back tears, concluded the emotional tribute: "I know full well he's up there now. He's dancing a foxtrot. I said it in the eulogy when I read it at his funeral. I said, 'One day, we'll dance that foxtrot again together.'"

Overcome with emotion, she declared: "And... I truly believe that."
