Sue Radford and her husband have shared a heartbreaking letter from doctors commemorating the date their son was stillborn.
The 49-year-old reality star is married to 53-year-old businessman Noel Radford and their family antics are captured by cameras for the hit Channel 5 show 22 Kids & Counting. Sue and Noel suffered bereavement in 2014, when their son, Alfie, was stillborn.
Now the parents have received an official document commemorating their son, a decade after he passed away. Taking to social media on Thursday, Sue and Noel shared a photograph of a document via the official Radford Family Instagram page.
They wrote alongside the image: “Received Alfie’s birth certificate yesterday. This is going to be framed. So precious” and added blue heart emojis. The document is headed with a statement that reads: "Issued on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care."

Instagram)Revealing the certificate was issued on 11 October this year, the official document lists Sue and Noel as the mother and father of their son, Alfie Thomas Redford. The certificate also lists the date of loss as 6 July 2024. Later, the family shared a screenshot of an official gov.uk webpage where others can also request such a document. They wrote: "Lots of you asking how to do this. It won’t let me copy the link, but if you type in baby loss certificate and click on this."
The screenshot showed the website where there is a page to “request a baby loss certificate”. The site states: "You can get a certificate in memory of your baby if your pregnancy ends before 24 weeks (or 28 weeks if your pregnancy ended before 1 October 1992). It’s free to get a certificate. You do not need to request a certificate if you prefer not to. It’s optional."
Sue and Noel shared their devastating news about Alfie's loss back in 2014 via Facebook. They wrote at the time: “Our beautiful baby boy Alfie Thomas was born sleeping at 7.53am today. He was so perfect in every way. Our hearts are breaking, you will always be a huge part of our lives, Alfie, know that we loved you very much."
Alfie’s death came a year after Sue suffered a miscarriage in 2013. The family refer to Alfie as their “missing heartbeat” and Sue had paid tribute to her late son by getting a tattoo in his honour. She said previously: "So I’ve had lots of messages and comments asking me what the tattoo is on my hand. So thought I’d put a post up to show you.
"The hand tattoo is Alfie’s handprints and I’ve also got his footprints on my foot. I love that I can always see his little hand prints on my hand and that his little feet always walk with me wherever I go." The reality show mum also has a tattoo on her foot showing his full name, which reads: "Alfie Thomas Radford 06.07.2014."
