Tallulah Willis says Demi Moore didn't purposely ignore Kylie Jenner at the 2025 Golden Globes

Demi Moore's first-ever Golden Globe win was a moment of celebration for her family, fans, and Hollywood peers, but it didn't come without controversy. On Sunday night, a clip from the awards show began circulating online, suggesting Moore had "snubbed" Kylie Jenner during a now-viral interaction at the Golden Globes.  

The clip shows Moore approaching a table where her "A Complete Unknown" co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Elle Fanning, and Monica Barbaro were seated, along with Chalamet's date, Kylie Jenner. Some fans on social media alleged that Moore "straight up ignored" Jenner as she congratulated her co-stars.  

However, Moore's daughter, Tallulah Willis, quickly stepped in to shut down the rumors on Monday. "HI @ everyone but really press, NIPPING THIS STRAIGHT IN THE BUD," Willis wrote on her Instagram story, clarifying the situation. "We spent New Year with Elle, so connecting with her after a win was a very organic thing to do. This angel [Moore] was in total shock and delight, moving throughout a warm room of well-wishers."  

Willis firmly dismissed any suggestion of tension between Moore and Jenner. "There was no snub of any sort," she added. "Had she seen KJ wanting to congratulate her, she would have fully given her the time and space. Literally just give it all a break and let a gal enjoy her accomplishments!"  

Demi Moore's Historic Golden Globe Win  

Sunday, January 5, marked a career milestone for Moore, who won her first Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her performance in "The Substance."  

"I really wasn't expecting that. I'm just in shock right now," Moore, 62, said during her emotional acceptance speech. "I've been doing this a long time, like over 45 years, and this is the first time I've ever won anything as an actor. I'm just so humbled and so grateful."  

Moore also reflected on the challenges she faced throughout her career, including a past remark from a producer who once labeled her a "popcorn actress."  

"At that time, I made that mean that this wasn't something that I was allowed to have," she shared. "And I bought in and believed that, and that corroded me over time to the point where I thought a few years ago that maybe this was it. Maybe I was complete, maybe I'd done what I was supposed to do."  

Moore credited "The Substance" with reigniting her passion for acting during a difficult period in her life. Written and directed by Coralie Fargeat, the feminist fable explores society's obsession with youth and beauty. "I had this magical, bold, courageous, out-of-the-box, absolutely bonkers script come across my desk called 'The Substance', and the universe told me, 'You're not done,'" Moore said, inspiring applause from the audience.  

In closing, she shared a poignant message inspired by the film: "In those moments when we don't think we're smart enough, or pretty enough, or skinny enough, or successful enough—or basically just not enough—I had a woman say to me, 'Just know, you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.'"

Moore's family and friends celebrated her win with an outpouring of love on social media. Tallulah Willis shared a video of the family's enthusiastic reaction, captioning it, "She did it!"  As for the alleged tension with Jenner, Tallulah's response was clear: the focus should remain on Moore's long-overdue win and the joy of the evening.
