Taylor Swift had some words of encouragement for Travis Kelce‘s new teammate… unfortunately just before he became Trav’s former teammate.
Louis Rees-Zammit was the talk of all Kansas City Chiefs fans when he was looking to join the team in the regular NFL season. The 23-year-old Welshman was previously a rugby star with his eyes set on the world of American football — a good fit if you’ve ever seen rugby!

Sadly Louis was let go from his position in August — before he got in on any real action in the 2024-2025 season. You can see the athlete training along with the team (below):
It’s sad it didn’t work out! But Louis didn’t leave the team empty-handed or with his head down. In a recent interview with RugbyPass TV, he revealed his former teammate’s girlfriend reached out to him in the form of a handwritten note before he got cut from the Chiefs. He explained:
“I went to her concert and I got a handwritten note from [Taylor Swift]. Pretty crazy.”
Aww! How thoughtful…
As for the contents of the missive? He revealed Tay Tay wished him a lot of luck from her show in Cardiff:
“This was before training camp. So it was like, ‘Good luck for the season, good luck for training camp. Heard you’re doing well.’ Just stuff like that. That was pretty cool.”
So sweet! Louis admitted he didn’t bring the note “to America” because he wanted to keep it safe and sound. An amazing keepsake, that’s for sure! Can’t risk that getting ruined.
