Taylor Swift Tribute Post Does NOT Go Well For Scott Borchetta -- Fans Call Out 'Fraud' Who Sold Her Masters!

2 weeks ago 2

Swifties never forget!

On Sunday, Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta made a post celebrating the 20 year anniversary of meeting Taylor Swift. The 62-year-old signed the pop superstar to his label back when she was just 14 years old after a performance in Nashville. They worked together until 2018 when Tay revealed she would be moving to Republic Records at UMG.

But Scott won’t be remembered as the one who gave her a shot — he’ll forever more be the guy who screwed her over!

In 2019, Scott sold Taylor’s masters to Scooter Braun, who then resold them in 2020. Without the ownership of her masters, she was devastated. Of course, she didn’t give up. No, Tay went on a journey of rerecording her albums so she could own them, and has been re-releasing Taylor’s Versions throughout the years. So the idea of Scott making a long, memory-lane style post after all this drama and legal disputes doesn’t sit right with a lot of Swifties!

The post he made featured a photo of 14-year-old T-Swizzle playing a guitar in the Bluebird Cafe. He wrote in the caption:

“It was 20 years ago today… a Beatles reference may not be too far off the mark… Today marks the 20th anniversary of my first meeting with Taylor. A day that changed both of our lives. This photo was taken two nights later at the Bluebird Cafe. You see the back of my head, bottom left, T, and then Andrea across the room… Always proud of the art and the work she did while we were together… and just as proud of her now. Keep crushing it… xx”

Always proud of her? Just as proud of her now? Hm…

Of course, shocked fans took to the comments to defend Tay, writing:

“This is embarrassing”

“Leave her alone!”

“this is so weird, does he think we forgot what he did to her?”

“this is so ridiculous. attention seeker behavior. fraud”

“This made me sick – he’s so gross to keep try to make amends online and use her still to this day”

“Too bad you threw her to the wolves, buddy. The biggest loss of your life.”

“so desperate”

“oh they’re taunting her… these people are evil”

“OF COURSE SCOOTER BRAUN LIKED THE POST LMAO”

OMG, Scooter liked it! Ouch!

Things got so bad in the comments, in fact, Scott seemingly turned them off and deleted a lot of the backlash. See the post for yourself (below):

WILD! Making a post like they’re still good friends after all this time was definitely a choice… We mean, there’s no way he didn’t know what was going to happen going into this. Taylor’s fans always go up to bat for her, especially against the people who have caused her so much trouble in the past.
