Hailing from London, Amber-Rose, 25, is part of a new wave of entrepreneurs who have been harnessing the power of social media to build and promote their businesses.

When she was just 22 years old, Amber-Rose set up Oree Mart, an Asian Convenience store based in Croydon – founded with her ex-boyfriend Michael Nguyen - which has an incredible following on social media of 84.1k followers – not bad for a small store.

Speaking about the role that social media has played in building her business, Amber-Rose admitted, ‘I really wanna be able to break the stigma around influencing and content creating. business has been fuelled by social media. Over the past two years my business has turned over seven figures, that is because of social media.'

More recently Amber-Rose has set up a podcast called Tap Water with her pal Sophia Hannah – also an influencer and entrepreneur who runs the fast food restaurant Full with her partner Jordan Green.

The controversy surrounding her relationship with one of her The Apprentice co-stars (who is yet to be named), where she was reportedly caught in a hotel room, arose because she hadn't told anyone she'd split with her partner, Michael. Fans assumed that the incident was the cause for their split. In a TikTok video however, Amber-Rose denied that that was the case, as has Michael in a separate social media post. She said, ‘The reason behind Michael saying also that I didn’t cheat and coming to my defence, it’s simply because I didn’t. And it’s not about convenience.’ She also added that the reports had been twisted and ‘had not come from the BBC’, nor had she been reprimanded by producers for the incident.

Karren Brady also addressed the incident saying in an interview jokingly, ‘When it says on the show it's 4am it actually is. We're going until 10pm and there's not a day off, it's back-to-back. So how you have time for any shenanigans is beyond me.'
