A previously married couple from “The Bachelorette” is officially divorced. Just days before Rachel Lindsay’s divorce from Bryan Abasolo became final, she rang in the New Year with a powerful Instagram post.
Lindsay noted that a year ago, “I was crying tears of sadness and confusion.” Her now ex-husband, former “The Bachelorette” winner Abasolo, filed for divorce in January 2024.
Now, however, Lindsay says, “This year I have tears full of happiness and hopefulness.” She continued, “Here’s to believing you are stronger than you think! I am so grateful and excited for 2025!”
On January 8, People reported that Abasolo and Lindsay had finalized their divorce.

According to People’s review of the legal divorce documents, Abasolo keeps the condominium the pair owned in Miami, Florida. Lindsay will retain ownership of the home the pair shared in North Hollywood, California.
Lindsay and Abasolo will each keep their wedding bands along with Breitling watches they own, People continued. “The Bachelorette” engagement ring stays with Lindsay, as do pictures and a painting created by artist Jad Najjar, according to People.
In addition, People detailed, “The Bachelorette” stars also keep their respective vehicles. Lindsay keeps a 2023 Porsche Macan, while Abasolo keeps a 2021 Honda Accord.
People noted that the divorce finalization also required Lindsay to pay an “equalization payment” of $500,000 to Abasolo. The temporary spousal support she’s already paid is credited against that.
Lindsay must pay half to Abasolo by January 17. The balance, with interest, is due by January 7, 2026.
According to TMZ, each “Bachelorette” alum walks away with various bank accounts, and they will split the equity from an organization she is tied to, the Fan Controlled Football League.
‘The Bachelorette’ Star Has Lots of Support
As TMZ noted, Abasolo and Lindsay met when she was the lead for season 13 of “The Bachelorette.” The season aired in 2017, and the couple ended their journey engaged. Abasolo and Lindsay wed in August 2019.
“The Bachelorette” fans had a lot to say about the situation in “The Bachelor” subreddit. Most of the commenters were thrilled that Lindsay could now put this behind her.
“Oooof this is painful but I’m happy for her that it’s over,” one Redditor wrote.
“I just saw her 2024 reel and she seems like she’s thriving… I’m excited to see what the future holds for her, and hope we see more of her gracing the TV screen,” added another Reddit user.
Someone else shared, “I hope she gets so many contracts and endorsements and prospers in the future. She is so capable and I love listening to her on the ringer reality tv podcast and on the higher learning podcast. She is just a gifted speaker.”
