Malcolm Barrett is currently under investigation for alleged sexual assault. TMZ reports that an unnamed woman is accusing of Barrett of having sex with her against her will after a night of drinking. Jane Doe alerted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department about the incident, and she detailed how she woke up the next day in bed with The Boys actor.
She claimed that she awakened to the 44-year-old entertainer touching her in bed. Before this, the unnamed woman told the authorities that she and Barrett had been friends for months. The outlet reports that the LASD Special Victims Bureau is leading the charge on this investigation. However, no arrests have been made in connection to this investigation as of Tuesday (Dec. 3)
Malcolm Barrett has been recently attached to Prime Video’s hit show, The Boys, where he stars as Seth Reed in a recurring role. Barrett has also found onscreen success in Better Off Ted, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Average Joe, The Changeling, Santa Clarita Diet, and Key And Peele.
The actor has been active on social media amid the investigation. On Monday (Dec. 2), Barrett posted to his Instagram about his return to stand-up comedy. “First time doing stand-up in NY in 21 years!! Talked my sh*t,” he captioned his post. “The return to stand up the last 3 years has been a Godsend. Shout out to #Jen and the @nycomedyclub.”
