Mark Labbett's ex-wife looks unrecognisable as they reunited to co-parent their children on a day out.

The 59-year-old The Chase star split from his girlfriend five months ago and he beamed a huge smile as he posed with his ex-wife, Katie, 31, who he is still legally married to. Posting on his Instagram Story, Mark shared a photo of them together as they met up to take their seven-year-old son, Lawrence, to a theme park.

Katie, who is Mark's second cousin, is seen pouting at the camera as she wears a black-and-white polo neck, with her platinum coloured hair falling around her shoulders. The pair were at The Making of Harry Potter tour in Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden and Mark captioned the snap: "Co-parenting in London part one #wbtourlondon. Little Monster loved the Forbidden Forest."

Mark and Katie had an open marriage but they separated in 2020 after seven years together, with Mark blaming their age gap for the split. He pointed to the Covid-19 lockdown as the catalyst for them going separate ways and Mark says he left so that Katie could forge a relationship with her lover.

Kate, who works as a nurse, blamed the split on Mark's workload with The Chase, among other things. She has since said that her relationship with Scott also had a huge bearing on whether they stayed together.

Mark and Katie first met in 2010 after making a connection on Facebook. She admitted that she had not heard of Mark when she first started dating him. She said about that time: "I had never heard of Mark, or watched The Chase, but my gran mentioned him so I was intrigued.”

They began their relationship properly in 2012 and were engaged the following October. Mark, who is nicknamed The Beast on the ITV quiz show, has now seen his year-long romance with girlfriend Hayley Palmer come to an end as he didn't want to divorce Katie.

Mark, meanwhile, has blamed his split from Hayley, just weeks after they celebrated their first anniversary together, on his age, telling The Sun: "It's me, I got old". Mark said that he was "lucky" to have dated Hayley, as he explained the reason why they have separated. He said: "She's [Hayley's] a lovely lady and I was very lucky to date her for a year, and as I said...it's me, I got old. There's been no one since Hayley, I'm not saying there won't be another one. But I'm certainly not looking."
