Warning: Spoilers for ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ season one ahead! Make sure you’re all caught up before reading.

If you’re a loyal fan of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, then you know that the show has a very specific order of events at the end. When the contestants reach the top four, the lead joins them in their hometowns to meet their families. When it comes to the top three, the lead and the contestants enjoy some alone time in the fantasy suites.

And while the show tends to keep details of their night together vague, The Golden Bachelorette‘s Joan Vassos kept her intentions with the overnight dates crystal clear.

“I want to have the time off camera that we can talk and we can discuss intimate things, but when it comes to the physical part of that, I’m not going to do that with three different people,” Vassos said to her first date of the week, Guy Gansert, per People. “So, I’m not going to do it with anybody right now.”

“I’m going to save that for when I have my final person and the person I’m hoping to spend the rest of my life with,” Vassos continued.

Luckily, Gansert took it in stride. “I respect what you’re saying so much,” he responded.

Vassos’ other contestant, Chock Chapple, also completely understood. “I’m perfectly okay with that,” Chapple said.

In her third date of the week, with Pascal Ibgui, the contestant opened up about his feelings before the question of being intimate even came up.

“I know what love is. I’ve experienced it, you’ve experienced it,” Ibgui, who dressed up as Vassos this week for Halloween, said. “And I’m caring about you as a friend. But I’m not in love, you know, and I just can’t be there and it’s hurting me because we have a good time together.”

“It’s not how I pictured this going, but you know, life has a funny way of doing that to you,” Vassos later said to the camera.

So while Vassos’ week didn’t end on the highest of notes, we’re applauding her for setting her boundaries and sticking by them. May the finale come soon enough!
