The Interesting Way Kate Beckinsale Decorated Her Christmas Tree

Kate Beckinsale performs her own stunts — at least when it comes to trimming her own tree.

The action star, 51, was praised for her "balance" and bravery after she shared a video of herself standing on a ladder to decorate her Christmas tree while sporting 8-inch platform shoes. The tall shoes also featured a NSFW message, with "F***" and "Off" written in spikes on either side.

Beckinsale paired the eye-catching footwear with a soft pink cardigan over a white blouse, black booty shorts, and white lace tights. Fans were impressed that the Canary Black actress was able to hold onto her daughter's new cat while leaning precariously over her tree to finish decorating.

"Everyone I love is represented on my tree, including my daughters insane, elderly adopted cat that she inherited from someone who died in her apartment building and whose family did not want him, and with whom she is now in a full-blown Clive level level [sic] affair," Beckinsale wrote in her Instagram caption, adding, "....welcome to the family, Cat 🐈."

The mom-of-one — who shares daughter Lily Mo, 25, with ex Michael Sheen — gave fans a closer look at the newly-adopted cat in other photos from the Instagram carousel. In one, the family pet can be seen with dyed pink fur and sporting a salmon and blue sweater. The holiday-themed post also showed a close-up of Beckinsale's beloved Pomeranian, Myf.

In addition to photos of her pets, Beckinsale highlighted some ornaments on her tree, from the glamorous to the silly, like a toilet, and pop culture-related pieces, like the bust of Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's. At one point, the Vacancy actress even donned a polar bear costume and could be seen dancing by the tree with someone — perhaps daughter Lily Mo — in an Easter Bunny costume.

The post comes just days after Beckinsale shared a series of yoga videos from in front of the same pink Christmas tree. The Total Recall star could be seen balancing the cat on her back as she laid on the floor and reached behind herself to grab her own feet, making her body into somewhat of a basket. Her friend Jessica James could then be seen picking her up by her feet and rocking her back and forth.

Beckinsale simply captioned the curious carousel of photos, "It's ok to have weird Christmas traditions."
