‘The Madness’ Trailer: Colman Domingo Is the Wrong Man in the Wrong Place in Netflix Thriller Series

In a welcome change of pace for the Oscar-nominated actor and respected theater star, Domingo is the star of Netflix‘s incredibly topical upcoming thriller series The Madness, which has dropped its first full trailer. In the clip, we see Muncie Daniels (Domingo), a well respected media pundit working in a post-truth environment, being framed for the murder of an infamous white supremacist. Daniels must outrun the law in order to clear his name, and along the way reconnects with family and finds unlikely allies.

The eight episode series also stars Marsha Stephanie Blake, Gabrielle Graham, Tamsin Topolski and Thaddeus J. Mixson. Guest stars include Deon Cole, Alison Wright, Ennis Esmer and Hamish Allan-Headley. The Madness also features legendary character actors John Ortiz, Bradley Whitford and Stephen McKinley Henderson.

The Madness was created by Stephen Belber (Rescue Me, What We Do Next), who also serves as co-showrunner with VJ Boyd. Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kaitlin Dahill and Clément Virgo are executive producers on the series.

The Madness debuts on Netflix on Nov. 28.
