The Reason For Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Solo Outings Is Surprisingly Obvious

Despite Meghan Markle and Prince Harry appearing united and in love during their recent joint video message on online safety, royalists have observed that the same can’t be said for their latest public appearances. In a rather uncharacteristic display of independence, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have forgone their usual allied front by regularly stepping out solo.

As the Montecito-based couple haven’t been spotted together since they visited Colombia in August, fans of the pair have begun to question whether something is awry. But as a source close to the couple has explained, there is a surprisingly obvious explanation for this unexpected shift in their dynamic.

“It’s clear that a twin-track approach is evolving,” an insider told People. “The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals – not just as a couple,” another added. “The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track,” they continued.

So, what does this mean for the couple, if not further alone time?

On Markle’s part, she’s cementing herself as an authority as a venture capitalist as she continues to expand her portfolio by investing in several female-founded businesses, including the accessories brand Cesta Collective, powdered superfood latte and tea company Clevr Blends and newly-launched hair care line Highbrow Hippie. The Suits alumni recently attended the launch party for the latter in Venice Beach on November 14.

She’s also attended a CEO summit in The Hamptons, the opening of a bookstore in Santa Barbara alongside Oprah Winfrey and upcycled her stunning red Carolina Herrera gown for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Gala 2024.

As she told The New York Times: “Investing in [these businesses] has helped me line up for this chapter where I’m investing in myself.” The acquisitions also help Markle bolster her standing as she prepares to launch her own lifestyle empire through her nascent brand, American Rivera Orchard.

The solitary outings might become commonplace for the couple in time, but with two new unscripted Netflix series in the works and a new house in Portugal, it’s apparent Markle and Prince Harry are as unified as ever.
