Things often get heated when contestants on The Traitors have to vote on who to symbolically "banish," but on the Thursday, January 16 episode, a contestant's family member bore the brunt of the insults.
Even though he isn't on the show, High School Musical heartthrob Zac Efron was roundly dissed by contestant Bob The Drag Queen. The 37-year-old actor's brother Dylan Efron, who is one of the contestants, was listing his reasons why he thought Bob, 38, was a traitor, and cited his acting ability.
"I grew up with an actor," said Dylan, before the RuPaul's Drag Race winner clapped back. "Not a good one," said Bob, whose real name is Christopher Delmar Caldwell.
Silence filled the room as the other contestants let the comment sink in. "That was not nice," noted one off-screen contestant.
Despite the insult, Dylan remained steadfast in his belief that Bob, who he called "an amazing actor," couldn't be trusted — and he was right on the money. When the group voted to eliminate Bob, the High Maintenance actor revealed that he was, in fact, a traitor.
After Bob exited, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania congratulated Dylan on his gameplay. "Good job, Dylan," she said. "And listen —your brother's a good actor."
Family insults aside, it appears there is no bad blood between Dylan and Bob, as the former posted a video on Friday, January 17 of the two co-stars pal-ing around.
"I got three words... you're an icon," Dylan wrote in his caption. Commenters were delighted to see the pair getting along.
"you're a great sport. And both of you a fab duo 🔥," wrote one happy viewer. Another Traitors fan thought that the insult to Zac might've just been for the cameras. "How dare he insult the Efron fam! Haha all in good in the making of good TV. Good job Dylan!"
