Things got heated for Livi after she accused Freddie of being a Traitor during Thursday's episode, but she took to Instagram to share her dismay after trolls attacked her prosthetic eye
Traitors star Livi has hit out at trolls who slammed her prosthetic eye during Thursday's show.
Things are getting even more tense for the contestants of the iconic BBC murder mystery The Traitors after the group almost unanimously voted to banish Tyler from the castle during Thursday night's instalment (January 9). It comes as fans watching the show have been certain there are secret duos that remain undiscovered amongst the players.
But ahead of the roundtable on Thursday, things took a turn for the worse after Freddie took aim at a group of the Faithful, suspecting them of teaming up to vote him out. In the intense conversation, he branded Tyler, Livi, Leon and Leanne as a "clique", resulting in a huge backlash from his fellow players.
The tension only rose from there, after Livi confronted Freddie for his use of the word "clique", getting emotional at the roundtable when suspicion turned to pal Tyler. After he was proven to be a Faithful, Livi broke down in tears, storming out of the room saying they should have listened to her.
But while Livi was going through her emotional moments, some fans on social media were taking their frustrations out on the beauty guru, particularly her prosthetic eye - which she got as a teenager after a cancer battle. After immense backlash from the trolls, Livi took to her social media to set the record straight.
"I feel I needed to speak up today about a few things," she wrote in an Instagram story. "This game is intense to say the least; emotions run extremely high.
"People need to remember this is 16 hours cut down to an hour; so much happens which you do not see," she added. "So many happy, funny moments that we as a whole share together on a daily."
She went on to defend herself against the trolls who were hitting out at her intense pushback against Freddie in the episode, restating that they only receive small amounts of evidence. She quipped that for a game such as The Traitors, it would only be right to give the Faithful very little to work from.
Livi then went on to tackle the trolls who called her out for her eye, adding: "I feel I needed to explain as some message I'm receiving about my eye and other nasty things is not on and is pure bullying. I do not stand for bullying."
Ending the post by giving her thanks to those who have been supporting her from the get go, Livi also insisted that all the players in the castle continue to remain good friends. "Nobody was ever nasty to anyone in the castle, and a reminder to all - we are all such amazing friends and stay in regular contact."
It comes as the final instalment of the BBC show for this week airs on Friday (January 10), as the Traitors prepare to murder another Faithful. However, who the unlucky player is will not be revealed until the players return to breakfast during the episode.
