“Hot Frosty” is currently the most popular movie on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.
The new Christmas rom-com, directed by Jerry Ciccoritti, premiered on the streaming service on Nov. 13 and quickly zoomed up the popularity chart. Set in the fictional small town of Hope Springs, the movie follows a lonely widow (Lacey Chabert) who inadvertently brings a snowman (Dustin Milligan) to life, and rediscovers love and joy in the process.
“Hot Frosty” also stars Katy Mixon Greer, Lauren Holly, Chrishell Stause, Joe Lo Truglio and Craig Robinson.

The most popular movie on Hulu right now is the critically acclaimed comedy-drama “Thelma.”
Inspired by a true story, the plot revolves around a 93-year-old grandmother (June Squibb) who takes matters into her own hands after she is scammed out of $10,000. “Thelma” premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival in January and was released in theaters in June.
“Twisters” started streaming on Peacock on Nov. 15, four months after its theatrical run began in July.
The movie, a standalone sequel to the 1996 disaster film “Twister,” follows storm chasers investigating tornadoes in Oklahoma. Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Maura Tierney and Sasha Lane star.
Another movie that was released in theaters in July is now available for streaming.
“Deadpool & Wolverine” joined Disney+ on Nov. 12. The (emphatically R-rated) Marvel film unites the titular superheroes, played by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, alongside characters played by Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Aaron Stanford and Matthew Macfadyen.
The 2010 disaster thriller “Unstoppable” is currently trending on Max.
Directed by Tony Scott, the film is based on a 2001 incident involving a runaway freight train and the men who halted it. “Unstoppable” stars Denzel Washington as a railroad engineer and Chris Pine as a conductor.
