Thanks to Black Friday, my holy grail has never been more affordable.
I've always been a firm believer that you should splurge on transformative serums and hard-working chemical exfoliants and scrimp on cleansers and moisturisers. A lightweight emollient proving you don't need to break the bank for excellent results is the celeb-loved Aveeno Oat Moisturiser, £5.82. Despite its generous price point, it's crammed with soothing, natural ingredients and in turn, has been rated five stars by thousands of customers. It's even been touted as an 'insane' dupe for Tatcha's cult Dewy Cream by Molly-Mae Hague. The best-selling Aveeno Calm + Restore Moisturiser combines prebiotic oats and calming feverfew to revive weary skin barriers and intensely hydrate the skin. Its already generous price point has been slashed for Black Friday, meaning you can now snap one up for just £5.82, saving you over half the price off the RRP.

I have been religiously reaching for the Aveeno Oat Moisturiser throughout the year as I adore its lightweight and gel-like consistency which melts into the skin like butter. It's non-fragranced, instantly soothing and acts like a glug of water for thirsty, dehydrated skin. Its impressively simple ingredients list ensures it's the perfect companion for sensitive skin. Thanks to its gel-like formula, I would recommend it most for those with combination/oily skin who still need a slather of hydration now the weather has officially turned.
Don't just take my word for it, Love Island veteran Molly-Mae Hague is also a huge fan of the affordable moisturiser telling fans how it's a dupe for Tatcha's The Dewy Cream. In a YouTube video, the star excitedly told her subscribers she had found a dupe for The Dewy Cream from Tatcha, before adding, 'not sponsored, but it's fricking insane.' Hague continued, 'This is not to say that Tatcha is not incredible because it is, but this is for my girls that want a more affordable product'.

I can confirm that the Aveeno moisturiser is very similar to the Tatcha Dewy Cream when comparing their lightly whipped textures and the instant dew effect it gives. Tatcha's iteration does contain more anti-ageing ingredients that will help improve your skin's texture over time, however, when it comes to strengthening the skin's barrier and providing plenty of nourishment, both creams are pretty much on par. Customers have hailed the Aveeno Moisturiser as a 'game-changer' for leaving their skin 'soft, refreshed and glowing.' One chuffed reviewer called it 'exceptional' before writing, 'This moisturiser is absolutely magical. For a couple of years, I've suffered with facial redness that had the appearance of acne and rosacea. Dry and sometimes spotty skin. I put it down to age/hormones. Tried lots of different moisturisers and foundations and nothing really changed. I started using this and eight weeks later my skin is completely unrecognisable. Skin tone is even, dry redness is gone.' At just £5.81, it's never been a better time to give it a go. Aimee Jakes is Grazia’s trending content editor.
