Tom Hanks' son 'quietly dating' co-star after 'cute friendship' on-screen

RHOA alum Kim Zolciak is rumored to have a new man in her life. She met artist Chet Hanks, known as Tom Hanks’ son, on MTV’s The Surreal Life, where they developed a close-knit friendship.

MTV‘s The Surreal Life brought Kim and Chet together, after her split from estranged husband, Kroy Zolciak. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum has just been spotted at a Jelly Roll concert with Chet.

Kim and Chet first met on The Surreal Life, where fans noticed they developed a “cute friendship”. She later confessed she had no idea of Hanks’ famous family, whose parents are Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson.

“I had no idea who he was when I first met him to be honest,” Kim told E! News in July. “I had to call [daughter] Brielle [Biermann] and ask her.” She also said, “Chet is great.”

Zolciak even ended up slipping him a note under his door and chatting with him late into the night in her bathroom. Not to mention they shared a raunchy cacao ceremony with their co-stars, like Macy Gray.

Surreal Life stars spark dating rumors

Kim and Chet sparked dating rumors while Surreal Life aired, but mostly after the show wrapped filming. They are believed to have gone for dinner afterwards, with Hanks saying he’d move to Atlanta for her.

Zolciak is currently going through divorce from ex, Kroy Biermann, who she shares children with. “I protect everybody else,” she said on the series, “and I don’t feel like anybody’s really protecting me.”

While Kim has six children, and has been a mom since she was 18 years old, Hanks has a daughter of his own, Michaiah, born 2016, with former partner Tiffany Miles.

According to an Instagram source, the two are “secretly dating” and have been doing so since they left the series. Reality Tidbit has contacted Kim and Chet’s representatives for comment.
