Following their shock split last August, Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague sparked rumours a reconciliation was on the cards after sharing a New Year's Eve kiss.
The former couple, who met on Love Island in 2019 and show daughter Bambi together, shared their devastation at their demise in public statements almost six months ago. However, they have since been spotted looking very cosy, with some onlookers saying the pair were "very flirty" at Luke Shaw's December party.
They were also said to have shared a sweet cinema date before boxer Tommy stayed the night. Now, ahead of an apparent impending "reveal all" documentary by Molly-Mae, a relationship expert has offered her advice to the pair.
“Reconciliation in the public eye is tricky,” Relationship & Dating Expert Anne Sofie Koktved explained. "Every move is watched and analysed, which can put extra pressure on a couple trying to reconnect. For Molly-Mae and Tommy, it’s important to block out public expectations and focus on rebuilding their bond privately."
She urged the duo to "take things slow" in order to create a once again strong relationship foundation and said they should only "gradually let people in once they’re sure of where they stand.
Offering her expert advice, Koktved insisted: "It’s vital to reflect on why the relationship ended and address those issues openly. Therapy or counselling can be a great way to build stronger communication. For public figures, setting boundaries with fans and media is also key to protecting their relationship from outside interference."
And while she said there certainly is a chance the pair can eventually find their "happy ever after", Tommy will need to "grow up". "As a father, he has extra responsibility to show he can be emotionally mature and supportive," she said. "Their future as a couple and family depends on him stepping up in both roles.
“For couples with children, it’s even more important to prioritise stability and emotional security for the child. Reconnecting can work, but only if it’s done with care and a commitment to creating a healthy environment."
She concluded: "For Molly-Mae and Tommy, success depends on their ability to grow individually and together, while putting their child’s wellbeing at the heart of everything they do."
While the ex-couple’s New Year’s kiss might come have come as a shock to their millions of followers, sources close to the reality TV stars recently revealed to the Mirror that Molly-Mae and Tommy had grown close again. They claimed the pair had started picking up the pieces of their relationship in recent weeks. Speaking to the Mirror, a source said: "Friends of Molly and Tommy have been confused by Molly implying she's a full-time single mum, as she and Tommy have been spending more time together and are rekindling their once almighty romance."
