Tory Lanez’s Estranged Wife Raina Chassagne Issued Warning by Judge Months After Filing for Divorce

Tory Lanez’s estranged wife, Raina Chassagne, was warned to hurry up with her divorce or she will remain married to the incarcerated rapper, In Touch can exclusively report.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge instructed Raina to serve Tory, 32, (real name: Daystar Peterson) with the legal papers.

The judge noted that if Raina did not provide proof that Tory was served, the case will be thrown out of court.

The court set a hearing for Raina to appear and provide an update on the case.

Back in June, Raina filed for divorce from Tory after less than one year of marriage. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

The date of marriage was listed as June 25, 2023. The marriage was not known to the public until the divorce petition was filed.

In the filing, Raina said the date of separation was June 1.

Raina’s paperwork revealed she never changed her last name to Peterson. Raina asked the court to award her primary legal and physical custody of the pair’s 11-month-old son, Kai.

Prior to the divorce, Raina took Kai to visit his father when he was locked up at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. Tory’s rep said the rapper and his son were able to spend five hours together each visit. The two were allowed to play games and have a meal without the artist being behind glass.

Back in August 2023, Tory was sentenced to 10 years in prison after he was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion after a 2020 party.

The rapper was found guilty of three charges of negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying an unregistered gun.

His attempts to appeal the verdict have been unsuccessful. Tory has denied he was responsible for the shooting.

The rapper is currently locked up at the California Correctional Institution. Earlier this month, TMZ reported that Tory had equipment seized by prison officials after they found out he was recording music from his cell.

Tory released a statement about the situation. He said, “The rumors are true. The Prison Tapes will be discontinued until further notice. However, I think it’s important that my fans know the truth about the crooked s–t that’s REALLY going on here. My cell was not raided and trashed because I learned how to record myself in prison or because I created The Prison Tapes. I was shut down because the ‘HIGHER UPS’ figured out what I was really doing with The Prison Tapes and how many inmates were being helped in a life changing way because of them.”

He continued, “Although the ‘HIGHER UPS’ have stopped The Prison Tapes temporarily, they were too late to stop my overall plan. Since the month of July, l’ve afforded legal representation for 472 inmates and actively reopened 476 cases … Lastly, they know I’m a threat and they don’t want me saying or doing this so if ANYTHING happens to me, just know I went out in the blaze of glory trying to revolutionize the end of a mass incarceration era on our people.”
