Veronika Murashkina, a contestant on the Russian version of The Bachelor has tragically passed away. The reality TV alum and model died at the age of 31 while on the urgent waiting list for a lung transplant.

Veronika Murashkina passed away on Friday, October 18. She reportedly spent the last years of her life bedridden after suffering a car accident four years ago. Her “immune system was weakened,” and she battled a severe lung disease in her final days, reports The Daily Star.

Playboy model and The Russian Bachelor star Veronika tragically died just days before she was due to get a lung transplant.

Per The Mirror, her death was reportedly confirmed by a friend, who told local media: “After the serious accident, her leg was literally put back together piece by piece.

“She was treated for a long time, stayed in clinics, and recovered. It seemed that her troubles were finally in the past, but then a new one came when the lung disease hit her.

The reality star sadly passed on October 18 at the age of 31.

Bachelor and modeling fame

Veronika rose to fame in 2017 modeling for Playboy. The same year, she was one of the contestants vying after the heart of the Russian version of The Bachelor’s Ilya Glinnikov.

The Toguchin native lived in Moscow and had a background in economics before turning her hand to modeling, reports The Daily Mail.

Following the car accident in 2020, Veronika “…had to give up her modeling career and instead spent her time doing arts and crafts.”

She underwent a long rehabilitation for her leg after it was “mangled” in the crash. Just days before her surgery was due to transplant her lung, Veronika sadly died.
