Her family have invited anyone who loved her to join the service.
Linda Nolan: Singer and actress dies aged 65
Linda Nolan’s family have revealed the touching reason why her funeral will be held at St Paul’s Church in Blackpool this Saturday.
The beloved singer and cancer awareness campaigner died at the age of 65 on January 15, 2025, after battling to live life to the full despite her breast cancer diagnosis.
The Nolan family announced the details of her funeral service on Instagram, inviting fans and loved ones to join them in paying tribute to the wonderful woman.
It was at this exact church in Blackpool that Linda married her husband, Brian Hudson, in 1981.
Linda and Brian’s love story began in 1979, when they met through Brian’s role as her band’s tour manager.

Her sisters – who were her bandmates – went on to become bridesmaids at the couple’s wedding after watching their relationship blossom on the road.
After leaving the band in 1983 to focus on her marriage and solo career, Linda described Brian as her rock and soulmate.
Sadly, Brian passed away in 2007 from skin cancer and liver failure, just a year after Linda’s first breast cancer diagnosis.
His death left Linda devastated, and she was open about how much grieving Brian’s loss shaped her life. She told the Mirror:“We’d celebrated our silver wedding anniversary the year before. His death was the moment my world ended.”
Linda chose to hold Brian’s funeral in the same church where they had exchanged their vows. Now Linda will be commemorated in St Paul’s too.

Nolan family members invited people who loved Linda while she was alive to the service, saying: “Linda was a beacon of light, strength and unwavering love who inspired everyone she met, in addition to millions around the world. Her absence leaves an ache in our hearts, but her legacy will live on through the joy, hope and kindness she shared so freely.
“Everyone who knew Linda, or whose lives she touched, are welcome to come and pay their respects as we remember her remarkable life. Fans and public are welcome to gather outside the church for the funeral - and in true Linda spirit, the more the merrier!”
They also explained the personal significance of the location, adding: “When Brian tragically passed away in 2007, Linda found the strength to carry on, but her love for him never wavered. St. Paul’s was also where Linda said her final goodbye to Brian, holding his funeral in the same church where they had exchanged their vows. Now, Linda will return to this sacred place to be reunited with Brian once more, finally at peace and back in his loving embrace.”
