Travis Kelce pays tribute to the King of Rock and Roll as he touches down in Las Vegas ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 8 clash with the Las Vegas Raiders at the Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, October 27.
The 35-year-old tight end has struggled for form throughout the 2024/25 NFL season and finally looks to break out of the proverbial jailhouse with a big performance against the Raiders, where he could get into the end zone for the first time this campaign.
So as he looks to inspire Patrick Mahomes on the field, he turns to some inspiration for himself, and who better than one of the greatest-selling artists ever in the form of Elvis Presley, as the footballer rocks as black, white and red bowling shirt similar to the late performer's iconic style.
To further invoke memories of the A Little Less Conversation lyricist, Kelce also made sure his hair was full of volume in a potential reference to Elvis' pompadour style - easily the most iconic part of his image.
"Next stop: Las Vegas," said the Chiefs' official Instagram account as they posted a photo of the triple Super Bowl champion heading to the team's private jet to make the trip over to Nevada and the Mojave desert.
Kelce is known for his unique sense of fashion and his ability to not take himself seriously at all, which is what makes him one of the NFL's most famous personalities and was no doubt a draw to Taylor Swift, his girlfriend.
He was joined on the flight by Mahomes, the star quarterback, who chose to wear a maroon suit with a navy blue tie and black smart shoes, with the formal outfit showing he means business this weekend.
Kelce looks to break out in Week 8
Kelce, regarded as one of the best tight ends of all-time, has struggled throughout the 2024/25 NFL season with critics fearing the 35-year-old is now physically past it at the back end of his career.
He has made just 245 receiving yards from 28 receptions for zero touchdowns but could score big against a 2-5 Raiders team that is not playing particularly well, to put it politely, and is without key offensive options such as Adian O'Connell, Jakobi Meyers and Davante Adams, the latter now playing in New York instead.
The Chiefs defense should not be under significant stress meaning the offense can relax and make sure they find the passes they need to get back into their groove, especially Kelce and Mahomes.
