Beloved Clarkson’s Farm star Jeremy Clarkson reveals he underwent emergency heart surgery this fall. The reality TV star had to go under the knife following a vacation. Jeremy, 64 years old, is famed for hosting TV shows such as Top Gear. He recently turned his hand to farming and has garnered tons more fans appearing on his Amazon Prime show Clarkson’s Farm.
Clarkson’s Farm’s Jeremy feared he “didn’t have long left” following a previous health scare. The Amazon Prime TV star dealt with some previous bouts of illness but he shows no signs of slowing down. Jeremy’s health scare comes after his co-star, Gerald Cooper, survived a cancer battle last season. Thankfully, Jeremy, Gerald, and the stars’ series, based on their life at Diddly Squat Farm, are still going strong.
Jeremy Clarkson’s ‘near-heart attack’
Life on Diddly Squat farm is a one-stop shop for heartwarming entertainment. But, running the whole operation doesn’t come with out some stress for Jeremy Clarkson and his team.
This October, the 64-year-old takes to his column in The Sunday Times to share how he was potentially “days away from death,” after a recent holiday.
He returned to the UK from an Indian Ocean holiday and reportedly felt “tingling” and “pins and needles” sensations in his left arm which he initally ignored, per BBC.

Jeremy said he spent his holiday “drinking wine and eating cheese, while sitting in a chair” in his column.
“Back at home, though, the sudden deterioration began to gather pace… I woke on Wednesday morning not feeling too good. I was clammy and there was a tightness in my chest,” he explains.
It was after experiencing this “sudden deterioration” that Jeremy sought medical attention.
A heart attack was ruled out after examination at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. But, he explains how one of his arteries was blocked.
“It seems that of the arteries feeding my heart with nourishing blood, one was completely blocked and the second of three was heading that way,” Jeremy pens.
Clarkson’s Farm star went under the knife
Although Jeremy’s Sunday Times column includes some tongue-in-cheek remarks about his recent health scare, what he experienced was serious.
The 64-year-old thanked “all those tremendous people” at the hospital after explaining how he had a stent fitted.
The stent is essentially a “tube inserted into a narrowed or blocked artery to open it and allow blood to flow more freely.”
Amazon Prime star Jeremy says he was allowed to return home the next day. But, he was left thinking: “Crikey, that was close,” after the ordeal.
After coming out the other side of the near-heart attack, Jeremy writes of how his thoughts have turned to his diet: “…here I am wondering what water tastes like and if it’s possible to make celery interesting…”
