I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! introduces GK Barry to the jungle. She’s loved-up with a girlfriend on the outside, who she invited onto her podcast to discuss how they first locked eyes.

YouTuber GK Barry will be leaving behind a special someone when she enters the I’m A Celebrity jungle in Australia. Although she keeps her girlfriend’s identity a mystery, they revealed they met on social media.

GK Barry met her girlfriend, Ella Rutherford, online. During a September episode of Saving Grace, the star’s vodcast channel, Ella said her “life turned around” after quickly falling in love with GK.

The two tell the story of how they met – GK followed Ella on Instagram and Ella shot her a DM – before she invited her over to her house, as she “didn’t have legs” after an operation.

She then ended up explaining how Ella has the nickname “eyelashes.” GK asks Ella: “Can you explain to people why I call you eyelashes?” Ella replies: “Because I have the best eyelashes out there…”

Ella popped GF question in cute way

Ella reveals she went all out to ask GK to be her girlfriend. She snuck into her house and plastered the walls in pictures of them together, with candles everywhere, while Barry was out on a photoshoot.

She bought her favorite wine and wrote in the bed in rose petals, “Be my GF.” But she felt so nervous when GK got home that she “hid behind the wall” due to how romantic she’d been.

“That was the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for me,” said GK, especially the “thought of her putting each rose petal down on the bed.” However, Rutherford admits it was a “hellish” chore to do.

She wants GK to propose

Ella has been hinting for GK to propose, as she feels she should return the favor after the lengths she went to for the girlfriend question. However, Barry said she’s “too feminine” to pop the Q.

Rutherford revealed she thinks it’s “so cute” when girls “break the stereotype and propose to their boyfriends,” but Barry thinks it’s “weird.” Ella then jokily adds, “We’re never getting married then.”

The jokey argument continued, with Rutherford reminding her she messaged her first and asked her to be her girlfriend. Barry then reiterated how she doesn’t want to be the one to propose.
