N-Dubz group member Tulisa Contostavlos is finally opening up on her appearance. Rumored to enter the I’m A Celebrity jungle, she explains that, from the young age of 24, her life changed forever.

A former judge on The X Factor, Tulisa is sharing her truth just weeks before she is rumored to enter I’m A Celebrity. Despite rumors, she has zero filler in her face except in her lips, and explains what happened.

Tulisa Contostavlos’ ‘face dropped at 24’

Tulisa Contostavlos revealed her face dropped when she was 24 years old, a year after she left The X Factor as a judge. She realized it was her first Bell’s Palsy attack, and didn’t leave the house.

Bell’s Palsy is an unexplained episode of facial muscle weakness or paralysis. She told the So Wrong It’s Right podcast: “I was sat at home and had a massive burst of inflammation on my cheek.”

“I was given steroid injections but doctors don’t know what caused it. Then my whole face just dropped, I couldn’t move it, and my face remained like that for seven months,” she explained.

She underwent filler to match swelling

Until recently, Tulisa had not undergone surgery, other than fillers. While nobody knows what caused her cheek to “blow up,” her face still didn’t appear right and still appeared to have mild swelling.

She said, “I would go and get fillers to balance out symmetry, put some in that cheek to match swelling on that cheek. As you can imagine, the vicious cycle… Then I had two years of no Bell’s Palsy attacks.”

Tulisa then noticed that low level swelling started to happen in the same cheek that was previously affected, which “got worse and gave her tingling sensations, like ants crawling in my face.”

She started to see doctors all across the UK. Eventually, after a lot of trying, the former judge was diagnosed as having three chronically infected cysts sat around her cheek area.

I’m A Celeb star dissolved filler

At first, doctors that the shadows in her face said it was filler or a benign cyst which “can’t be causing problems.” However, she had been feeling unwell and had health problems for years.

Tulisa dissolved all of the filler in her face and only has some left in her lips. She explained why people think she has filler in her face and said: “Because of inflammation here, it gives that plumped cheek look.”

She underwent an operation which left her face less swollen and said: “I still have inflammation but it’s way less than what it was. Over the next two months, I’m going to get rid of these fluid bubbles.”
