Blind Frog Ranch cast find cavern

For more than a decade, Duane and Chad Ollinger have invested their all into locating a 500-year-old lost Aztec treasure they believe is hidden in a vast system of underground caves buried deep in their ranch.

After discovering a mysterious keyhole-shaped cavern that could be the link to the fortune, they are pushing the limits to find a viable way in. But the more they push, the more the land fights back.

Dangerous cave-ins and mysterious phenomena – puzzling seismic activity, unusual weather patterns and even strange wildlife as something “moves” in a cave – hinder their progress on the new season.

Strange item looks like ‘human skull’

During the new season, the Blind Frog Ranch team come across what they believe could be a human skull in a cave. A cast member said, “Whatever time you dig out there, something’s going to happen.”

Although there’s a known belief the gold they’re looking for is cursed, it’s not going to stop the cast from finding what they’ve been searching for, for over 10 years, even though it’s “not meant to be found.”

When they come across a potential human skull, he holds the item and claims it’s “something weird.” The trailer proceeds to show them saying, “We have to know who the people were that were here before us.”

They call in help from outside

Calling in help from treasure-hunting specialists, the team launches a new plan to excavate multiple sites simultaneously and they quickly uncover ancient ceremonial beads and artefacts.

Their findings appear to indicate a sacrificial site. Lab testing reveals there is a much deeper history to the area than they previously thought, such as the ranch being the birthplace of original Aztec civilization.

Meanwhile, LiDAR scans reveal a fault line that connects several locations on the ranch and beyond and could potentially be another way into the cave system.
