This Uber Eats driver definitely did not get a five-star rating!
Alexsandra Del Valle Acosta Aguilar was arrested in Polk County, Florida, on Monday, October 21, after law enforcement claimed she ate food from a customer’s order, stole her holiday decorations, and then spat in her face when confronted about it! What!
According to a Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrest report obtained by multiple outlets this week, the unnamed woman ordered food to be delivered to her home through Uber Eats on the night of Thursday, September 12. However, she was going to be left hangry that evening! At around 11:56 p.m., the customer claimed she saw her driver “removing food from the bag that she ordered” outside of her home in Davenport. Aguilar didn’t just allegedly steal her food, though. Per the arrest affidavit, she also took the holiday decor! When the customer stepped outside to confront the driver, she claimed to police she noticed Aguilar holding her “Happy Fall Y’all” yard sign.

The customer approached Aguilar and wrestled the sign out of her hands. And what happens next? The driver allegedly got into an argument with the woman before SPITTING in her face! Whoa! That situation escalated quickly! At that point, the victim covered herself with the sign and moved as far away from Aguilar as possible “before being stopped by the closed front door.” Meanwhile, the suspect took a roughly $10 decorative garden urn and started to walk back to her vehicle. Authorities said the woman also noticed Aguilar moved a column of pumpkins and put it near her car. The arrest affidavit claimed she then loaded up her vehicle with the items and drove off before the police arrived. Wild!
After Aguilar left, the woman realized she stole more from her lawn than just the column and urn. She claimed four decorative pumpkins worth about $75 each were taken, too. In fact, according to cops, the delivery driver stole up to $330 worth of decorations! Yeesh. Authorities eventually tracked down Aguilar and arrested her “based upon the statement provided by the victim, statement made by the suspect, and records from Uber Eats.” When officers went to her residence, per the affidavit, she admitted to delivering food to the woman’s address on the night of the alleged incident.
Aguilar is now facing charges of burglary with assault and grand theft from a home. A spokesperson from Uber told People on Tuesday she’s also been removed from the platform:
“This behavior is shocking and unacceptable. We removed the courier’s access to the Uber platform and are supporting law enforcement with their investigation.”
