Fans of Victoria Beckham were quick to praise her for a specific moment in Buckingham Palace.
The former Spice Girl member, 50, was attending her first-ever state banquet with husband David, 49. They joined King Charles, Queen Camilla and the Prince of Wales on Tuesday evening for the event held for the Emir of Qatar, his wife and their delegation.
Posh and Becks' attendance had been kept secret from the public until the event got under way and fans were quick to comment on clips and images to say the songstress looked nervous at her appearance. As the duo made their way to the event inside the Palace, Victoria was caught on camera looking relatively nervous as she looked around for her husband. When she spotted him she moved closer and he affectionately took her hand.

Another follower agreed, saying: "Love how she quickly knew to grab his hand to calm her fear." And a third said: "He's relaxed, she's not, but I understand that... that's actually a huge thing."
David dressed smartly in a white tie and tails suit, while Victoria dressed in a fitted dark floor-length evening gown with long fitted sleeves. She wore her hair swept into a sleek pony tail and gave a small chuckle as the married couple headed towards the ballroom.
The Emir of Qatar, who is on a two-day visit to the UK, joined the King to deliver speeches in front of dignitaries from both countries in the palace's grand ballroom. The former footballer's attendance comes a year after he opened up regarding his decision to sign a £125 million deal as an ambassador for the World Cup in Qatar. Questions were raised at the time over Qatar's human rights record.
The former England captain told the Daily Telegraph: "I do a lot of research into partners that I’m going into business with. And I wanted to be involved in another World Cup. I knew there’d be questions, I knew there was going to be criticism, but I’ve always been a believer that football is such a powerful tool. I spent a month out there [...] I was around the LGBTQ community, I spoke to people on the ground. So I was happy with my decision."
There has been talk David will receive a knighthood in the near future after developing a strong bond with the royal family. He also recently became a celebrity ambassador for Charles’s charity The King’s Foundation, with fellow ambassador Sir Rod Stewart teasing him that his knighthood was “coming soon”.
