Vinnie Jones has candidly expressed his thoughts on Jeremy Clarkson and the hit series Clarkson's Farm. The former footballer turned Hollywood actor claimed he had 'already had the idea' for a similar concept with his YouTube show called the Crafty Countryman, which predated the success of Clarkson's Amazon Prime venture.
Speaking to the Sunday Times, Jones shared how he pitched a three-minute video showcasing his adventures in nature on a quad bike to major broadcasters, only to be met with responses like: "Oh we love it, but you know, we'd rather see you with Bradley Walsh or wrestling a bear."
Jones reflected: "And I'm like: 'That's not where I'm going. I want to show people that I could leave most people behind on my knowledge of the countryside."
His frustration grew when Clarkson's Farm launched following the popularity of his own YouTube series 'went nuts'. Despite this, Jones insists he harbours no resentment, claiming he is not 'annoyed' nor does he wish any negativity towards Clarkson's Farm, even declaring himself its 'biggest fan'.

However, he admitted: "I was f***ing pissed off, because I'd already had the idea," reports Gloucestershire Live.
Jones, who enjoyed a successful football career with teams such as Wimbledon, Chelsea, and Leeds United, transitioned to acting with roles in blockbuster films like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, and Gone in 60 Seconds.
Vinnie Jones, 59, has returned to his rural roots with a reality show on Discovery Plus called 'Vinnie Jones in the Country'. The series documents the renovation of Jones's 400 year old farmhouse.

He says that TV executives were quick to approach him following the success of 'Clarkson's Farm'. Jones said: "They hurtled through these dates, never even bothered to open them, just drove through, bam.
"And they went: 'We want this! We want the farm! Can you imagine? And I went: 'I told you this two years ago. I was before my time."
Jones claims he initially declined to make a second series until TV bosses assured it would focus more on wildlife, as he found the first season "a bit boring".
