Vivo, while preparing for the launch of Y300 in the Indian market, has already dropped the Y18t smartphone. The device is suitable for people who are looking for an entry-level device with basic specifications and a user-friendly interface. Starting with the design, the smartphone has a waterdrop notch for the placement of the front camera. It has thin bezels at the side but a little thicker on the down edge. As for the pricing, the smartphone will be available on Flipkart for purchase at a price of Rs 9,499. It will have two colour options – Green and Black.

Vivo Y18t specifications and features

The Vivo Y18t comes with a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and 840 nits of peak brightness. The smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T612 processor based on 12nm fabrication process and it also includes 4GB LPDDR4X RAM that can be expanded up to 8GB. Moreover, the device also gets 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage that can be expanded with a microSD card.

In terms of optics, the Vivo Y18t sports a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary shooter and a 0.08MP depth shooter. The primary sensor of the device brings different modes portrait, documents, pano, and more. For the sake of selfies and video calls, the device brings a 8MP front snapper. It packs a battery of 5,000mAh battery with 12W wired charging support.

However, a major setback with the device is that it doesn’t include charger in the box. For security purposes, the device gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor doubled up with the power button. Connectivity options included in the same are Bluetooth v5.2, USB Type-C port, GLONASS, and a lot more. The absence of 5G will be major turnoff for potential buyers considering they already have multiple options in the same price range with 5G support.
