Doechii took the stage tonight to perform “Catfish” and “Denial Is a River” at the 2025 Grammy Awards. The Top Dawg Entertainment rapper brought the singles from her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal to life with over a dozen backup dancers, all in matching Thom Browne suits. When they ripped off her clothing to reveal couture undergarments below, Doechii launched into the latter song, rapping back and forth with her therapist alter-ego—acted by DJ Miss Milan—on a sliding floor. Watch a replay of her performance below.
Doechii won Best Rap Album for Alligator Bites Never Heal earlier tonight, marking a historic win at the Grammy Awards. “This category was introduced in 1989,” Doechii said in her acceptance speech. “Three women have won: Lauryn Hill, Cardi B, and Doechii.”
The rapper was also nominated for Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance for “Nissan Altima,” losing out on the latter to Kendrick Lamar with “Not Like Us.”
