90 Day Fiancé star Tatha Tantri originally hails from Indonesia but moved her life to the United States after finding love with James Solis on social media. Making their reality TV debut on season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way in 2024, fans are curious about what the TLC star does for a living since her overseas move.
What Is ‘90 Day Fiance: The Other Way’ Star Tatha Tantri’s Job?
Tatha and James founded a jewelry company in September 2023, after a weekend hobby of mining gems and minerals “became a way” of sharing their “love and connection to the Earth with others,” according to the couple’s website.
“We offer a wide range of handmade jewelry in Copper, Silver and Gold featuring Maine Tourmaline, Smoky Quartz, Herkimer Diamonds, Opal, Amethyst and Tiger Eye just to name a few,” the website states. “Our selection includes rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and several raw stone minerals.”
The pieces in their collection vary from $15 to $30. In addition to the online store, Tatha and her husband offer Cameos to fans, which are personalized video messages, for a starting price of $20.
“Whether it’s a milestone birthday, an anniversary, or a long-awaited reunion, make it unforgettable with a one-of-a-kind Cameo video,” the site advertises. “You’ll have the chance to customize your request, like asking them to mention inside jokes, share words of wisdom, or work in their signature catchphrases.”
What Else Does ‘90 Day Fiance’ Star Tatha Tantri Do for a Living?
In addition to the online side hustles, Tatha earns a paycheck for her appearances on the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. While it’s unclear exactly how much money Tatha is bringing home, it is believed the cast salaries work on a sliding pay scale.
“Before the 90 Days cast makes $500 to $1,000 per episode” each, a source told Radar in June 2019. “90 Day Fiancé pays their cast members $1,000 to $1,500 per episode.” However, returning to the franchise for a spinoff will earn the cast a little more cash, but it “doesn’t go up much more,” the insider added.
During the spinoff, Tatha shared that she had worked as a data scientist before leaving the role when relocating to Maine to be with her husband. However, she struggled to find a new job in the field upon her return to Indonesia.
She also explained that most positions were located in the country’s capital Jakarta, where housing was known to be very expensive. “So, my salary won’t be enough to live there, especially James is not working either,” she explained during episode 15.
Tatha Helped With Her Family’s Banana Chip Business
James and Tatha considered making her native of Indonesia their permanent residence during season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, which aired on TLC from July to November 2024. James quit his well paying job to appease his wife, who was unhappy with her move to the United States.
After their move, tensions quickly arose over finances as they planned an extravagant Indonesian wedding. The U.S. native grew frustrated as Tatha’s father kept adding expenses and James had yet to secure a job. James felt pressured about their financial situation, as Tatha wanted to continue to help her family with their banana chip business in return for allowing them to live there for free.
