Keke Palmer shared what she really thought about her ex Darius Jackson publicly shaming her for wearing a sheer dress to an Usher concert.
“I was speechless,” the “Nope” star told People Thursday of the fitness instructor writing on X, “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom” alongside a video of the R&B singer serenading her during his Las Vegas residency in July 2023.
“I was at a photo shoot and everybody was looking all weird. I was like, ‘Are y’all good?’ And then I randomly was on my phone and I saw,” she recalled. “It was so crazy. I didn’t want to engage with something that wasn’t reality and fan the fire.”
Palmer, who wore a sheer black Givenchy dress over a matching thong bodysuit as she and Usher embraced during his performance, said she did not think the moment was a big deal.
“I was just at a concert, doing what I do as an entertainer, creating a fun moment,” she told the magazine.
“How it became a storyline that me and Usher are in love, I don’t know.”

The “True Jackson, VP” alum, 31, said she believes her fame contributed to the end of her “unhealthy” romance with Jackson.
“It’s just been a monkey on my back all my life. I’m used to it. But I’ve always known, and not just with my romantic relationships, but with my family, with my friends,” she said.
“Fame has always become a burden.”
Palmer said she lives a “very basic life, but fame would make you think that I go to the Usher concert and pull him off the stage and have him wrapped around my finger.”
“You might think that, but it’s like, ‘Girl, I’m just like every other mama going out for a night,'” she added.
“I cannot control how people perceive me. I can only control how I show up.”
After Jackson’s viral mom-shaming comments, he and the “Hustlers” actress — who share 1-year-old son Leodis — fought over custody of their baby and accused each other of abuse.
The exes, who had been dating since 2021, eventually settled their drama after attending a court-ordered mediation and agreeing on joint custody.
“The only way I knew how to bring order was through the court,” Palmer told People.
