Grammy Awards are not stopped by fires

The 2025 Grammy Awards, which are going ahead despite multiple wildfires in recent weeks in Southern California, are scheduled for early next month.

"The 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards will bring with it a renewed sense of purpose: to raise additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and to honor the bravery and dedication of the first responders who risk their lives to protect ours," the Recording Academy shared in a statement.

Last year gave music enthusiasts Charli XCX's summer of "Brat," Shaboozey's country hit "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" and Chappell Roan's leap to stardom. While 2025 promises new albums from the likes of Ringo Starr and The Weeknd, the industry is not done celebrating last year.

The nominees for the prestigious Album of the Year award include a diverse list of talent, including Andre 3000 and Jacob Collier, who are up against pop music stars Sabrina Carpenter and Roan. The category also includes big names, from the award's most decorated artist, Beyonce, to four-time AOTY winner Taylor Swift.
