Brittany Mahomes is gearing up for the arrival of her third child, and the timing couldn't be more perfect.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback recently shared some exciting news with NFL reporter Tracy Wolfson, who relayed it to fans on X (formerly Twitter). In a post made by Wolfson on Monday, January 6, she revealed that Brittany due to give birth on Sunday, January 12.
The timing works perfectly for the couple, as Patrick had been hoping for some time off before the divisional round of the playoffs and it's the Chiefs bye week.Wolfson later noted that if Brittany, 29, doesn't give birth by the weekend, she will be induced the following Monday, January 13.
Fans were quick to comment on the post, offering their congratulations to the couple, both 29, as well as throwing in a few jokes towards the Chiefs quarterback.
"So happy he [will be] back with her!!" said one excited fan, while another exclaimed, "I can't believe she's due already! She looks great!"
A third fan joked, "Honey, I'm sorry, but I'm not missing the playoffs with the boys," while a fourth fan predicted, "3 kids under 5. He's definitely retiring by 2030."
This timing also seems to align with a comment Patrick made previously in December to Netflix when he hinted at their third child's due date. While discussing the upcoming NFL schedule, he expressed hope that "God works the right way" so that Brittany would go into labor during his bye week, ensuring everything would fall into place.
The couple, already parents to daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, 2, and announced their pregnancy in a joint Instagram post in July 2024, later celebrating the news with a gender reveal party where they shared that they are expecting another girl. They have been married since March 2022.
Patrick has previously stated that this will be their final child. "I'm done," he confirmed last summer in a press release, adding that he's always wanted to have kids at a young age and enjoys spending time with his family while balancing his career. "I said three and I'm done," he reiterated.
