Meteoric rise to success

Chris was born on August 3, 1986, in South Shields, Tyne and Wear.

He began a career in comedy in 2007 when he hosted an open-mic night in Newcastle.

By 2010, he had a successful solo show named Aggrophobic which he took to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

His 2011 show Offermation was nominated for an award and broadcast on BBC Radio 4.

The star hit the big time in 2012 when his Feeling Lucky show grew into a national tour.

However, he was hit by a brief setback that same year when he was removed from Sky 1's Soccer AM for using offensive language on air.

TV stardom

Jack was introduced to fans across the nation when he starred in BBC Two's Hebburn, which was set in the titular town near to the comedian's native South Shields.

He had a brief stint on I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp alongside Joe Swash, Vicki Pattison and Stacey Soloman in 2016.

However, he was replaced by Joel Dommett just a year later.

Jack replaced Glee star Kevin McHale as the presenter of Virtually Famous in December 2016, before launching his own eponymous show on Comedy Central.
