TIKTOK star Salt Papi has made a big name for himself since entering the world of influencer boxing.

The Filipino sensation is taking on King Kenny next on the Misfits 19 Supercard in Qatar.

Who is TikTok star Salt Papi?

Salt Papi is a British boxer, video creator and social media star, born on February 24, 1994.

He has a Filipino background but was born and raised in England.

Papi rose to fame by making TikTok skits during Covid lockdown.

He has also become popular across the UK for the way he seasons British takeaways with salt, similar to Salt Bae.

While exploring British takeaways, he would imitate the Turkish chef's famous technique of pouring salt from above his shoulder with a twist.

He was seen in several food chains such as Five Guys, Nando's and Wetherspoons.

Comedy videos were his initial go-to, however he then started showing his boxing journey and fitness transformation.

The videos allowed him to slowly build his social media following until he had over 4.2million followers on TikTok and 126million likes across all of his videos.

What is Salt Papi's real name?

Papi's real name is Nathaniel Bustamante.

Although he's now known online as Salt Papi, he also used to go by Busta Breezie.

His name is a play on SaltBae, as he would often post budget versions of the steak salesman's videos on his page.

The boxer has lost 165lbs since he began his boxing career in 2022.

When showing childhood pictures, he has referred to himself as a 'chubby young boy' — but is proud of where he has managed to get to nowadays.

Halal Ham

Papi faced off against Halal Ham in his first fight on March 5, 2022 at the SSE Arena, London.

It was an exhibition fight, with Papi winning via unanimous decision.

Andy Warski

Salt Papi knocked out Warski, who was making his debut, inside 15 seconds at the O2 Arena on August 27, 2022.

This caught the eye of a fellow social media star, Logan Paul who within seconds of Salt Papi's win he tweeted: "Salt Papi vs Jake Paul."

The slty fighter also impressed Chris Eubank Jr., who said: "The guy went to sleep, incredible.

"If you look at him, he looks like he works a nine-to-five at a cheese factory, so to see him come out there, moonwalk, dance, lick his lips and then knock a guy out, that's box office right there."

Josh Bruekner

Papi stole the show when he took on Josh Brueckner in a cruiserweight bout at the OVO Arena Wembley, London on January 14, 2024.

He moved to 3-0 after knocking out Brueckner, which caught the attention of boxing Star Ryan Garcia, who tweeted: "Man salt Papi needs to just turn professional lol"

Anthony Taylor

Papi struggled in his cruiserweight bout against Anthony Taylor at Wembley Arena, London on May 13, 2023.

He wasn't able to land anything of note, while Taylor peppered him with shots, though they didn't do much damage.

When the final bell rang, Taylor was victorious by unanimous decision and Papi had slumped to his first defeat.

Slim Albaher

Slim Albaher scored a come-from-behind victory to beat Papi at the AO Arena, Manchester on october 14, 2023.

The middleweight Misfits Boxing rivals met in a highly-anticipated fight on the undercard of KSI's bout against Tommy Fury.

And the opening three rounds were going Salt's way as the Filipino got off to a slick start.

The social media star was countering and beating Slim to the punch until he began to tire. 

Slim landed a flurry of right hands that rocked Salt's head back and the southpaw could not get out of the way of the oncoming traffic.

American Slim — from New York — poured on the pressure as Salt failed to ride out the wave. 

A right hand dropped Salt for the first time in his boxing career and it proved to be the beginning of the end. 

After trapping Salt in the corner, a subsequent combination left the referee forced to call off the contest.

Amadeusz Ferrari

Papi returned to winning ways when he faced Polish MMA fighter Amadeusz Ferrari on May 11, 2024.

Ferrari came out aggressively from opening bell, fighting on the front foot and reigning down shots on his opponent.

But Papi withstood the pressure and scored a knockdown at the end of the first round.

While Ferrari started fighting dirty, Papi found his range and frustrated the MMA star, who had points deducted in the second and third rounds for leading with his head.

Ferrari failed to get up from his stool at the end of round three, handing an abrupt victory to Papi.

Dawood Savage

On July 6, 2024, Papi brushed aside Dawood Savage in no time at all.

Papi dropped the content creator known as the 'Muslim Drake' with a flurry of lefts and rights to the body within seconds of the first-round bell.

Dawood bravely tried to continue after the count, but was on the floor yet again moments later.

Knowing he'd secure a TKO victory with another knockdown, Papi connected with a clean left to get the job done.
