Is Deondre Burgin Skai Jackson’s Baby’s Father?

Skai, 22, best known for her role as Zuri Ross in the Disney Channel series Jessie and its spin-off Bunk’d, announced in November 2024 that she was expecting her first child.

“I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life—embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects,” Skai told People Magazine at the time. “My heart is so full!”

The former Disney star revealed she was welcoming her child with her boyfriend, though she chose not to disclose his identity publicly.

As she prepares for motherhood, Skai shared with People how close she remains to her own mother, Kiya Cole, who raised her as a single parent.

“[My mom] always taught me to stand up for myself, stand up for what I believe in and fight for what is right,” she said in February 2023. “I thank her for that because without her, I probably wouldn’t have a lot of the confidence that I do now.”

The pregnancy announcement follows a tumultuous period for Skai. In August 2024, she was arrested for domestic battery after an altercation with her partner at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood. Security footage reportedly showed Skai pushing him twice. She was cited and released shortly after the incident. Despite the controversy, the couple maintained that nothing physical had occurred.

Who Is Deondre Burgin?

Not much is known about Deondre, who is known online as Yerkky Yerkky. However, he raised eyebrows after a now-deleted post on his Facebook account appeared to address Skai’s pregnancy. “On wopp I’m salty I got this dumb a— Disney Channel b—h pregnant I hate this h—e,” the post read. However, Skai and her mother claimed that Deondre’s account had been hacked and that he was not responsible for the post.

In another twist, just a day after Skai’s pregnancy announcement, Deondre was arrested in Cincinnati, Ohio, for attempting to evade authorities—a violation of his parole. He was released shortly after receiving a citation for misdemeanor obstruction of official business, according to police sources who spoke to TMZ.
